Programatorii nostri au fost la Drupalcamp Romania

In primul weekend din vara, 5-6 iunie 2010, programatorii nostri nu s-au odihnit, nici n-au fost la mare, ci au amestecat afacerile cu placerea si au luat parte la prima editie Drupalcamp Romania, care s-a desfasurat la Timisoara.

Drupalcamp Romania este primul mare eveniment Drupal care are loc in Romania si a fost organizat de Asociatia Drupal Romania, in parteneriat cu Universitatea Politehnica din Timisoara. Evenimentul a reunit atat profesionistii din domeniul IT care utilizeaza Drupal, cat si pe cei care vor sa afle mai multe despre utilizarile sale si despre avantajele pe care le aduce.

Drupal Romania a luat nastere in 2005. In august 2008, la Drupalcon Szeged, reprezentatii romani au pus bazele unei miscari cu rolul de a relansa Drupal.ro. Versiunea actuala a site-ului a fost lansata in septembrie 2009. Implementarea a realizat-o al nostru Alexandru Badiu, hostingul fiind oferit de catre Adulmec.

Drupal video tutorials, training and screencasts...

A picture is worth a thousand words - and a video is worth tons more. There are several Web sites aimed at teaching Drupal via video tutorials or training sessions. I am trying to compile a list of the most useful sites out there. Most of the sites on this list or at least a large part of their content is free. Please feel free to add more tutorial sites in the comments:

Drupal detection test - Is that site running...

Have you ever asked yourself "Is that site running Drupal?" We have and were inspired by Angie Byron's blog post to create a simple Web based test to answer just that question.

The test runs the provided Web address through a catalog of smaller tests and reports the results in a table. This test was developed as part of our evaluation of a new SVN version control system and is not "perfect." Particularly, it makes certain assumptions about the way sites handle redirects and missing pages. So please take the results with a grain of salt and check the provided links if you want to be certain.

This test is provided for two reasons: First, because some people might be curious about whether other sites run Drupal. There are many ways to check but I think our test is the most comprehensive. Second, it allows people to be more aware of what exactly their site reveals to the
